Experience: I grew up on the beaches of Southern California, where volleyball is a way of life. I discovered volleyball at age 10 through my local recreation league and have been playing ever since. I played competitive volleyball in High School and Jr. College before transferring to a D2 State College in Northern California. I enjoyed training on the beach in the off-season and competing at local beach volleyball tournaments with friends. I started my coaching career 7 seasons ago at the high school level and have been coaching club volleyball the last five seasons working with a wide variety of ages and skill levels.
My coaching philosophy: Volleyball has been a lifelong passion and has taught me many life skills that I still utilize today in my professional and personal life as an adult and as a parent. I look back on my experience growing up as an athlete and deeply appreciate the coaching I received. I am honored to have been coached by former Olympians both indoors and on the beach. I had strong female coaches who invested their time and energy into my development. I am committed to eating it forward while helping develop a new generation of female athletes who are driven, confident, and fearless competitors!
A little about me: I have been in Colorado for 27 years. My husband Craig is a Colorado native, and we have two kids, Jett (14) and Tava (12). Prior to coaching, I spent 20 years working in the field of Human Resources as a director for small to medium-sized companies, as well as managing my own HR consulting business.
